  1. What services do you provide?
    • We offer a variety of web design & development services from developing a design you are comfortable with, to offering solutions which can help maintain and update your web site. Check out our Services page for a more detailed service listing.
  2. What is the difference between web design and web development?
    • In general, web design deals with the actual layout and design of a web site. Web development is the development of web based applications which can control or perform specific tasks on the internet. We offer a collaboration of web design and development services aimed at not only creating a site design, but developing a cost efficient way to keep that site updated using a Web Content Management System.
  3. What is a Web Content Management System?
    • A Web Content Management System or CMS is an application which sits in the background of a web site that has the capability of managing the content on a particular web site. They are usually much easier to use than manually updating a site's file and can offer many advantages, especially for users with no technical knowledge.
  4. What makes your Web Content Management System (CMS) different from others?
    • Our CMS application is designed specifically to be adaptive. We know web sites are all different in their own ways and having a generalized CMS application can be very limiting. We have developed various modules which can be configured to manage a certain aspect of a web site.
  5. What exactly is a module?
    • When we refer to a module, we are referring to a seperate application which has been specifically developed to interface and manage different content which can be displayed on a web site. For example, if your web site has a picture gallery, our Gallery module can be configured and interfaced into our CMS application to allow you to manage the picture gallery on your web site. With a variety of modules interfaced with our CMS application, we can essentially configure our CMS to be fully customized specifically for your web site.
  6. I have looked at your module list, but I don't see one that can manage a section of my site. What can I do?
    • Because our CMS was fully developed by our web development team, we can create and customize new modules to your specifications very quickly and easy. Please contact us for more information.
  7. I have no experience in creating or maintaining web sites. Is your Web Content Management System easy to use?
    • We have specifically developed our CMS to be user friendly. Our development team can assist you in installation and integration of the system and teach you how to manage and update the content on your site for yourself.
  8. What kind of customer support is offered with your services?
    • We offer complete customer support to help you with any and all questions, comments, or problems that may arise at any time. Our developers are constantly updating the CMS and free updates are available for download. Using our CMS Updater tool, downloading and installing these updates is just a few clicks away. No technical knowledge is required.
  9. What are the requirements to use your Content Management System.
    • In order to install and use our CMS, both your host server(s) and the client computer(s) which will be used to access the CMS to update your web site must meet the following requirements. If you are not sure if your web host meets these requirements, you can let us know and we can research your hosting company for you and determine if they do or not.

      Host Server Requirements:
    • PHP (4.0.3 and above) with MySQL database support.
    • MySQL (3.22 and above)
    Client Computer Requirements:
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer (5.0 and above) or Mozilla Firefox (1.5.0.9 and above) with JavaScript support.
  10. What is a web host?
    • A web host is typically a company who offers space on their servers with internet connectivity which can store a web site accessible via the internet. We do not offer hosting services, however we can offer consulting when choosing a web host. Check out our affiliate 1&1 Internet for a good place to start your web host search.
  11. What is your development zone?
    • Our development zone is the location where we develop your web site or application. It is available online so you can view and make comments or suggestions about our work on your project at any time during it's development. Because this is where we actually work on your project, the development zone offers you a level of control which you can't really find in other places.
  12. How long would it take for you to complete my web site?
    • Because all projects are different it is difficult to predict exactly how long it would take for your individual project. On average we complete a project in about three weeks time from the date of our first consultation.
  13. What languages do you use to create custom applications and web sites?
    • All web sites we develop are coded in PHP and HTML for template purposes. This means that we are able to design and develop a template exclusive for your web site and deploy it much more quickly. Our more advanced web sites and custom Internet applications are also developed using PHP and utilize a MySQL database backend. Our development team is here to handle all technical aspects of your web site so you don't have to worry about a thing. For the more technical users, more information about PHP can be found here.
  14. Who is liable for sales and use taxes?
    • Because Null Reality, LLC is based in the State of Texas, all of our Texas clients must be charged sales and use tax as required by state law. Our out of state clients are not liable for Texas sales and use taxes.
  15. What services do you provide are subject to sales and use tax?
    • The charge for website creation or design is taxable as a data processing service under Comptroller Rule 3.300 relating to data processing services. If there is a charge to store data or perform file maintenance on a web server, including charges for a web page and/or web hosting, then the charge for the web page or web hosting is also taxable as data processing service.
  16. Is getting a business listed on EPDrinks.com subject to sales and use tax?
    • A charge to place an advertisement on a web site is taxable data processing if the "advertisement" is actually a charge for a web page. A charge to create a separate web page to view information about an item or to place a photograph of the item that the viewer has to "click on" to access is subject to Texas sales tax as a data processing service. Because of the nature of EPDrinks.com, since every business has it's own web page which the viewer has to "click on" to view, the charge to your business is subject to sales tax.
  17. I thought getting listed on EPDrinks.com was free? Why would there even be a charge that is subject to sales tax?
    • Getting listed on EPDrinks.com is indeed free. However we do allow businesses the option to upgrade their advertisement accounts which places them higher on the listings, in addition to other features. This monthly charge is subject to sales and use tax.
